SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK - ROMEO AND JULIET
The Singapore Repertory Theatre's annual Shakespeare In The Park production returns, in the year of Shakespeare's 400th death anniversary, with the classic play Romeo And Juliet.
The performance by the cast goes beyond textbook as Cheryl Tan plays a hyper-sexual, hormone-crazed Juliet while Thomas Pang, in the role of Romeo, shines when he shares the stage with Benjamin Chow as the peacemaker Benvolio and Shane Mardjuki as the volatile Mercutio.

DANCING WITH DEATH
Inspired by the visual dazzle and expressive freedom of a ghost festival in northern Thailand, well-known Thai dancer- choreographer Pichet Klunchun has come up with a new work about the interplay between life and death.
Dancing With Death (photo) marries his Thai classical dance training with the improvisational and raw spirit of the festival to create a fresh vocabulary of movement.
The work is commissioned by the Esplanade for its da:ns series, which stages dance productions outside of its annual da:ns festival that takes place in October.

SCO MOTHER'S DAY CONCERT - A GIFT TO MUM
Celebrate Mother's Day with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, performing under the baton of resident conductor Quek Ling Kiong, as Hong Kong-based Singapore singer-songwriter Tan Hanjin takes the stage to belt out well-loved songs such as Charms Of Jiangnan and Memories Of Youth.

CHARLES LIM YI YONG: SEA STATE
Sea State, the long-term project by Singapore artist Charles Lim, which showed at the Venice Biennale last year, is now on home ground. The exhibition at the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore presents the project in its most extensive iteration to date. Works take the form of videos, photographs, three-dimensional models and altered marine charts, and they invite viewers to delve into Singapore's inextricable relationship with water.
