The Esplanade is celebrating the Golden Jubilee this weekend with free performances (by groups such as Nadi Singapura and the ITE Show Choir), workshops, talks and interactive artwork. This includes an open house at the Concert Hall tomorrow.

SOUL JOURNEY - NINE SONGS BY SIONG LENG MUSICAL ASSOCIATION
Siong Leng Musical Association, known for boldly marrying the traditional with the contemporary, aims to take audiences on a musical odyssey that combines the musical form of nanyin with a cycle of poems written by Chinese poet Qu Yuan more than 2,000 years ago, during the Warring States period. It has created a multi-sensory performance, where audience members can soak up the smell of fragrant herbs and sample tea served in large ceramic bowls.

THE LIMPEH SHOW: A SOLO EXHIBITION BY SAMANTHA LO
Artist Samantha Lo was inspired by the outpouring of emotions after Mr Lee Kuan Yew's death from Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans alike to create her first solo exhibition.
Both a tribute to Mr Lee's legacy and an exploration of the public's perception of him, The Limpeh Show explores Singapore's socio-political climate and features eight artworks created in a variety of mediums, including eggshells.
