DETENTION KATONG

Dream Academy's comic musical will take audiences back to their school days. Valerie Choo plays a good schoolgirl gone bad, with singer Inch Chua and YouTube star Munah Bagharib as her schoolmates. PORT CITIES: MULTICULTURAL EMPORIUMS OF ASIA, 1500-1900

This weekend is your last chance to catch this exhibition, which has been made free for everyone in its final days. It features more than 180 objects that were used and traded in seven port cities across Asia, such as Nagasaki, Batavia and Singapore. From Japanese robes made from Indian chintz (photo) to a 19th-century necklace made of French and Austro-Hungarian coins, these artefacts interrogate the fluidity of notions of tradition and culture.
