THE LKY MUSICAL
Apart from theatre veteran Adrian Pang, recent Lasalle College of the Arts graduate Benjamin Chow has been getting the thumbs-up for his role in The LKY Musical. Theatre critics say Pang (left, with Sharon Au) carries the part of the country's late founding father Lee Kuan Yew with "finesse and grace", while Chow, who plays the musical's designated anti-hero Lim Chin Siong, has been hailed for his compelling oratory. The show spans 26 years of history, from Mr Lee's student days at Raffles College to Singapore's independence in 1965. The new 19-song musical boasts a star-studded creative team, including veteran composer Dick Lee, Laurence Olivier Award-winning lyricist Stephen Clark and director Steven Dexter.
