The Singapore Chinese Orchestra offers a preview of its concert in Kuala Lumpur next week to celebrate 50 years of Singapore-Malaysia ties.
Featured performers include Singapore Idol winner Taufik Batisah (above), jazz pianist Jeremy Monteiro, wayang kulit group Kumpulan Sri Campuran and tabla performer Jatinder Singh Bedi, under the baton of SCO music director Yeh Tsung.

JAMEEL PRIZE 3 EXHIBITION
The exhibition, brought here by the Victoria And Albert Museum of London and the Nanyang Technological University School of Art, Design & Media, highlights artists inspired by Islamic traditions. In its closing weekend, admire the prize-winning work (above) of Dice Kayek, whose fashion-forward costumes are inspired by Turkish heritage, or attend talks by noted speakers such as Singaporean author and Cultural Medallion recipient Isa Kamari and Pakistani artist Waqas Khan.
