LONDON - There is a new addition to the Cumberbatch family - and it's a boy.

A spokesman for British actor Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter told British media that they were "delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son".

It was double joy for The Imitation Game and Sherlock star, 38, having been named a CBE in Queen Elizabeth II's birthday honours announced on Friday (June 12).

The notoriously low-key couple married in a private ceremony held on the Isle of Wight on Valentine's Day earlier this year.

Hunter, 36, a theatre director, was already pregnant when they tied the knot.
