SINGAPORE - It is now well into Dry January, but if you are not ready to go fully alcohol-free yet, a slightly less guilt-free option comes in the form of hard seltzers.

In its simplest form, the trending beverage is alcoholic carbonated water, which is both lower in calories and carbohydrates than beer and wine. Many brands add fruit flavours to their hard seltzers and, like a light, easy-drinking beer, its alcohol by volume (ABV) is about four to six per cent.
