Tomorrow’s 100m final should be a showdown between Jamaicans Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake. Bolt, with a decent start, is an unstoppable force. But he has not been at his best since the 2009 World Championships.
Since then, Blake has emerged, winning the 100m world title in 2011 after a false start by Bolt, then beating the planet’s fastest man in the Jamaican championships this year. If either falter, Tyson Gay of the United States and Asafa Powell of Jamaica are waiting in the wings. Bolt, Gay, Powell and Blake are the four fastest men in history.
