Bouquets: Touched by kindness of stranger

Touched by kindness of stranger

My family and I are very grateful to the man who helped us when my mother fell unconscious in the train on the morning of Feb 14.

He disembarked from the train and helped carry her onto the platform, and waited with us till a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) team arrived to take my mother to the hospital.

We did not ask his name but hopefully this message reaches him - thanks a zillion!

The staff at the Little India MRT station as well as the SCDF team should also be praised for their prompt action that morning.

Thank you all for your amazing response from the bottom of our hearts.

Commendable service by MRT station staff

I would like to express my gratitude to the staff at the King Albert Park MRT station. Their quick action allowed me to enjoy a worry-free Chinese New Year.

On the eve of Chinese New Year, my wallet fell into the platform gap while I was boarding the train. I reported the matter at the passenger service centre.

The staff who assisted me took down my particulars and allowed me to quickly exit the station even though I did not have my ez-link card.

Because of them, I was able to make it home on time for the reunion dinner.

It came as a pleasant surprise when, at 7am the next morning, I received an SMS informing me that my wallet was ready for collection.

It was the first day of Chinese New Year and I had not expected them to respond so quickly.

Thank you all.
