It is no wonder that The Straits Times has won international awards for publishing this year but nothing could bring local readers more joy than the excellent coverage of the recent General Election in Myanmar.

Besides the usual high-calibre reporting featured in the print edition of The Straits Times, what impressed me the most was the amount of online analysis and graphics that accompanied the news digest which whetted my appetite for interactive facts.
