I live near the MRT construction site in Vanda Link at Turf City.
Hundreds of workers have been living there for the past couple of years, and I have often bought them cold drinks when I see them working in the hot sun.
It was not until this week that the site perimeter fencing came down and their living quarters became visible.
I now see that they are housed in metal containers.
In this blistering heat, I can only imagine how living in metal containers must feel.
The workers are usually crammed into the containers, which cannot possibly improve matters.
Does this comply with regulations for housing workers? Surely the men who build this city deserve better?
