The report on electric taxis ("October roll-out for all-electric fleet of taxis"; Sept 22) will please environmentalists and those who are concerned about the air quality in Singapore.

We have been enduring the harmful effects of vehicles that run on fossil fuels for far too long.

The new venture deserves our support. I will definitely look out for HDT Singapore Taxi's electric taxis, and will choose them over others.

I hope the Government will provide more support to environmentally friendly ventures, such that one day, all vehicles on the road will be electric ones.
