Technology the way to go for dining outlets

Fast-food outlets have proven to be a lot more nimble in responding to changes in trends and the economy ("Fast-food industry braves slump"; Nov 21).

Restaurants and eateries should adapt better using technology.

To save on manpower, especially during a downturn in the economy, more restaurants and eateries should offer the use of tablets for customers to order food.

This is already being practised by some dining outlets in Singapore.

This is definitely a more efficient and cost-saving way for restaurants and eateries to operate their business, and I hope more will adopt this practice.
