Set rules on use of mobile charging stations

It was recently announced that 200 mobile charging stations will be installed islandwide by year end ("Charge phone free at 200 stations"; July 28).

While this is welcome news, usage will need to be regulated.

At the Changi Airport Terminal 1 departure hall, there is a mobile charging station that is hogged by a small number of people whose phone batteries do not seem to be in need of charging as they are still using their phones even as they are plugged in.

Rules to govern the usage of the stations should be clearly defined to avoid misunderstanding among users.
