Relax citizenship rules for foreign spouses of S'poreans

To maintain a healthy citizen core, the focus should be on recovering citizen birth rates.

Hence, citizenship or permanent residency should be given to foreign spouses of citizens, especially those who already have a Singaporean child.

Take for example, a Singapore citizen who has completed his national service (NS), who is married to a Vietnamese woman and has an NS-liable son. The chances are that the family will stay in Singapore for the rest of their lives.

The citizenship rules for such a family must be less stringent than those who come here as foreigners and become citizens.

This would also remove the sense of uncertainty among such couples who are thinking of having more children.
