Mr Subramaniam Rajalingam requested that his son who is residing overseas be allowed to opt out of the MediShield Life scheme ("Allow US-based son to opt out of MediShield Life"; Forum Online, Oct 30).

Mr Rajalingam asked if the approach to MediShield Life coverage for overseas Singaporeans can be further reviewed.

We assure him that we will surface his feedback to the MediShield Life Council, which is reviewing the issue.

The Ministry of Health will announce the outcome of the review in due course.
