At Outram Park MRT station, a temporary covered walkway has been erected due to the building of a new MRT line and expressway.

While the walkway is well lit, it can be quite deserted by around 9pm.

There are no closed-circuit television cameras, and there is also a blind spot of a corner before one reaches the bus stop at New Bridge Road.

Would the Land Transport Authority consider installing CCTV cameras at strategic points for the safety of commuters? This would also assist the police, should a crime occur.
