Make it easier for seniors to visit National Gallery

I was one of the more than 4,000 people who visited the new National Gallery Singapore on Tuesday ("Visitors flock to newly opened National Gallery"; Nov 25).

I congratulate the people who have done such a magnificent job in restoring the former Supreme Court and City Hall buildings.

As a Singaporean, I am very proud that we finally have a museum to display the art of Singapore, as well as of South-east Asia.

I hope those who visit the magnificent buildings will keep them clean and not litter. As the paintings are very valuable, visitors should also refrain from touching them.

There are many senior citizens who would like to visit the museum.

I appeal to the National Gallery to not make it necessary to make ticket bookings online, as many of these seniors are not computer-savvy.
