I am a cabby with SMRT. Lately, I have noticed that the taxi I drive has occasionally been leaking toxic smoke into the interior of the vehicle.
I have brought the matter up with SMRT and have sent the vehicle to the workshop more than 10 times in the past four months. However, the problem remains unfixed.
I also went to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to make a report, and was advised to go to the National Environment Agency (NEA).
When I did so, the NEA said it did not have the equipment to check for this type of leakage, and referred me back to the LTA.
Who can I approach to solve this problem? The smoke has affected my health badly, causing me to feel dizzy, and I have been feeling some discomfort in my chest.
