About three years ago, the tap in my kitchen was damaged, and I used the information in a flier to contact a plumber.
A friend of mine said that on one occasion, he reached home, realised he lost his door key, and referred to a small sticker on the door to call for help.
I must say that I also dislike the stickers and fliers ("Stop nuisance of fliers left at doors" by Mr Ng Kei Yong; Aug 4), but they can be handy when we need the services of the people who advertise through them.
It takes great effort to distribute the fliers, so the reach is not very wide. For small businesses, it is one way to advertise their services.
