I fully agree with Mr Leong Kok Seng ("Narrow corridors a fire-safety issue"; June 27).
Before residents move into a new block of flats, the Singapore Civil Defence Force should conduct a fire drill so that they can make a fire-safety assessment.
If it is determined that the level of danger is high, the Building and Construction Authority and the developers should have to rectify the problem, at their own cost.
