Do more to 'push' government grants to companies

As a partner in a public accounting firm, I have seen many small and medium-sized enterprises struggle without even knowing that there are government grants for their situation or stage of development.

Hence, I welcome the Business Grants Portal to help firms access the various grants ("$4.5 billion helping hand for industry"; March 25).

I encourage the various agencies, such as the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, to work together to "push" grants available to the individual companies.

Mail or e-mail from these agencies or their affiliated trade associations can also be a part of this.

This will supplement the portal to ensure effective delivery and execution of the schemes.
