The new Parking.sg app offering payment via mobile phones requires the motorist to select the carpark he is at.

Why provide motorists with the opportunity to make a mistake?

When the location function is on, the system is already able to prompt users on which carparks are near their vehicles, an indication that it already knows where they are.

Perhaps the requirement can be changed to having users select whether they are in a yellow (within the Central Business District) or white (outside the CBD) parking space.
