The cleanliness of our public toilets rests in the hands of the users themselves ("Right way to keep public toilets clean" by Mr Emerson Hee of the Restroom Association (Singapore); Dec 5).
If all of us treat our public toilets like our own, then there won't be a problem. Take the design of urinals - no perfect design can work if users refuse to use them properly. Let's not give cleaners a hard time.
Travellers who have been to Japan say that the Japanese have the cleanest toilets in the world.
I hope that one day, we, too, can lay claim to that title.
