Bring back comfortable seats on buses

I vividly remember that many years ago, our public buses were installed with upholstery seats that were thick and comfortable.

Such thick upholstery seats can still be found on some of our older, double-decker public buses, but these are few and far between.

Over the past decade or so, the seats on buses have been changed to thin, hard plastic ones.

These thinner seats are much less comfortable to sit on. They are also unable to mitigate the pain and discomfort for people who suffer from chronic hip and spine problems.

I travel to Hong Kong frequently. Their public buses have headrests installed on their seats. These enable commuters to rest properly during the journey.

Singapore should emulate Hong Kong and improve the bus experience for commuters.
