I am very disappointed that the Singapore leg of the Colour Run will proceed as planned, while other organisers in other countries have called theirs off ("Colour Run to continue in S'pore"; Thursday).

In the light of the water park fire in Taiwan, it is only right not to proceed with the run until a proper investigation into the cause of the fire is determined and all safety measures are reviewed.

The safety of runners must come before any concerns over financial liability.
