The National Environment Agency and the Building and Construction Authority have managed to control noise pollution from construction sites in many cases, especially after office hours.

However, at three construction sites along Peck Seah Street near Tanjong Pagar MRT station, which are only a stone's throw away from residential areas, work is allowed to continue until midnight, even on weekends and public holidays.

Can the two agencies do something about this?
