Who: Jin Zhi Yan, 20, university student.

My family: Dad, 50, mum, 48, and sister, 14.

My home: A condominium unit in Admiralty.

My passions: I practise taekwondo and cycle often. I also follow political and environmental issues closely.

I first started writing to the Forum page in...: August last year, because of my frustration at the failure of reusable bag programmes.

What I write about: I write mainly on politics and the environment.

Why I write: I write to the Forum page because it is a channel where my input can be shared with a wide audience and help encourage discussion or debate.

I read the Forum page because...: It contains the input of Singaporeans from different walks of life on different issues that regular news reports may not pick up on.

My wish for Singapore: I wish for Singapore to become a more open-minded and rational nation that will strive to do good and do right.
