Who: Han Yongyuan, 33, senior biotechnologist.

My family: Single, living with both parents.

My home: Four-room flat in Bedok.

My passions: Financial and business news, running, watching movies, playing games.

I first started writing to the Forum page in...: 2002, when I was in national service and started reading newspapers more.

What I write about: Government policies and their effect on the average Singaporean.

Why I write: I believe that for Singapore to reach the next level, its citizens must be more involved in nation-building and take ownership. So, I wish to do my part by providing feedback on policies affecting us today.

I read the Forum page because: It showcases a diverse set of views, which makes it a good read.

My wish for Singapore: There is a Chinese saying: "Harmony breeds wealth." I wish to see greater unity and harmony among the residents of Singapore, regardless of social status, gender and political affiliation, as we work together for a better future.
