Who: Leong Kok Seng, 56, retired Singapore Armed Forces officer.

My family: Married to a retired IT company manager, aged 56.

I have two school-going children - my son is 16 and my daughter is 15.

My home: We live in a condo in the Bedok Reservoir area.

My passions: I collect coins and stamps. I also enjoy watching soccer games and am an Everton FC supporter.

I started writing to the Forum page...: In 2013, about insurance matters.

What I write about: Anything, with a special interest in financial and retirement matters.

Why I write: I believe everyone is entitled to his own opinions.

I write to share my views and provide readers with a different perspective on some issues.

I read the Forum page because...: I enjoy reading it for the variety of views expressed on any issue.

It also helps me keep in touch with the latest issues and with what people are thinking.

My wish for Singapore: I hope Singapore continues to progress as a nation and provide equal opportunities for all.

More importantly, that Singapore remains a home for Singaporeans.
