Who: Mr Liew Eng Leng, 50, petrochemical trader.

My family: Married to a housewife, 49, with four daughters, aged 21, 19, and twins, 14.

My home: I live in a penthouse in The Minton, Hougang Street 11.

My passions: Reading, in particular The Straits Times, and watching football matches on TV. During the weekends, I eat out and watch movies with my family.

I started writing to the Forum page in...: 2013.

What I write about: Various issues. Due to my keen interest in local football, I have written quite a bit on the sport in Singapore.

Why I write: I used to be a silent observer. A few years ago, I decided I should make my voice heard and be part of the feedback process.

I read the Forum page because...: It gives readers a channel to express publicly their views on matters that interest them, and I can feel the pulse of Singaporeans.

My wish for Singapore: Singapore has just celebrated the first 50 years of nationhood and has progressed well in all aspects, despite our small size and lack of natural resources.

My wish for Singapore is that it continues to progress as a nation in the next 50 years, and be blessed with a good government, social and racial harmony, and a wise electorate.
