Who: Lau Kim Lon, 50, engineer.

My family: Married to an accounts officer, 49, with two daughters and a son.

My home: An executive flat in Yishun.

My passions: Travelling , outdoor activities and, occasionally, some writing.

I started writing to the Forum page...: Possibly more than 10 years ago.

What I write about: I mostly write about transport and safety-related issues.

Why I write: I write mostly to create and improve public awareness and to provide an alternative view on issues.

I read the Forum page because...: It provides many different views from many different people on an issue at hand.

But I have to admit that I read only those topics I am interested in.

My wish for Singapore: My wish is for Singapore to become less crowded. The increase in our population has put strain on our limited land as well as our transport system.
