Who: Toh En Qi, 14, Secondary 2 student.

My family: My parents and three younger sisters, aged nine, 10 and 11.

My home: In Woodlands.

My hobbies: Reading and writing.

I first started writing to the Forum Page in...: 2015

What I write about: As a student, I am aware and concerned about the issues that will affect teenagers and other students in Singapore.

Hence, I write to the Forum Page about such issues, including underage drinking and dyslexia programmes for students.

Why I write: It's important that the younger generation become useful citizens of Singapore for the country to become even more prosperous.

Hence, I would like to raise awareness about the problems that affect students and youth negatively so that such problems could be overcome. I also hope to raise awareness among young people about many programmes that benefit us so that young people understand they have a lot to be grateful for, and so will contribute to society.

I read the Forum Page because...: There are many significant issues in Singapore, apart from those affecting youth.

Hence, I read the Forum Page in order to become more aware of the problems in Singapore.

Also, reading the Forum Page is interesting as it gives me more insight into how other Singaporeans think about the situation in our country, allowing me to gain a better understanding of the country.

My wish for Singapore: I wish for Singapore to become an even more prosperous and successful country, with its citizens being grateful for what is being done for them, and willing to give back to society.
