Was the victim using a seatbelt?

It would be useful if it could be established if the Uber passenger killed in the recent accident was using a seatbelt (Third fatality in Singapore involving an Uber driver; July 10).

All that was reported was that the backseat victim suffered a fractured skull and that the driver was not injured.

There are many car accidents every day.

Uber drivers may or may not have a higher accident rate, but it is well known that using a seatbelt decreases one's chances of injury in an accident.

Leaving out information about the seatbelt could leave casual readers with the perception that Uber is not as safe as other options, when the real culprit may be one's choice on whether to use a seatbelt.
