Virtual CashCard system: Nets replies

We thank Mr Tan Boon Teck for his positive feedback on Nets' vCashCard service ("Virtual CashCard system for carparks next?"; July 10).

The service obviates the need for motorists to insert a physical CashCard into their In-Vehicle Unit to pay for their Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges. Instead, ERP deductions are charged to the registered users' vCashCard account, which will be topped up by their credit or debit card account.

Motorists can register for a vCashCard account at vcashcard.nets.com.sg or download the NETS vCashCard app from Apple App Store or Google Play.

We plan to extend the vCashCard service from ERP payments to carpark payments.

We will be working with the authorities and carpark operators to progressively facilitate this convenience.
