It is alarming to read about people offering online essay services and that they do not consider this practice wrong ("Online student essay services still thriving"; yesterday).

Such services constitute cheating.

That some people have no trouble offering and accepting such services shows a degeneration in the ethics and values of young people.

If youngsters can cheat when they are in school, will they also think nothing of doing the same when they enter the workforce?

Online sites must prohibit such services. I hope schools and the authorities will take this issue seriously and take appropriate measures to stop these cheating practices.

Parents must also do their part to educate their children on the ethics of being honest and not cheating.
