The new Cabinet formed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is indeed admirable in both form and substance ("Shaping Singapore's 4th-gen leadership"; Sunday).

It has a balance of seasoned and new ministers poised to give both stability and thrust needed for a ship.

But most remarkable of all is the new engine empowered by the polling power of Singaporeans who are determined to see the ship make waves as it sails into somewhat uncharted waters ahead of SG100.
