Priority queues: Taxi coordinators could've been more helpful

We are very sorry to hear about Mr Lim Khee Tee's unpleasant encounter with our taxi coordinators ("Manage priority queues better"; last Tuesday).

Changi Airport has priority queues at taxi stands in the three terminals, and they are located adjacent to the regular queues.

The facility mainly caters to expectant mothers, passengers with infants in arms, and travellers with reduced mobility, such as those in wheelchairs.

The taxi coordinators on duty will also look out for other passengers in need of special assistance, including elderly persons who need assistance.

In this instance, the taxi coordinator failed to recognise that Mr Lim needed assistance.

Our taxi coordinators should indeed have been more polite and helpful in providing their service.
