Last Friday morning, when my mother, who uses a wheelchair, and I tried to board bus service 13 at Kallang Aperia Mall, the driver refused to let us in, even though the bus was not full.
His reason: There was already a passenger with a wheelchair on board.
I explained to him that I could fold the wheelchair, like a pram, but he insisted that we wait for the next bus. He said it was company policy.
