I was at One Championship's Defending Honour event on Nov 11 and was very impressed by mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Tiffany Teo ("MMA: Tiffany Teo makes winning One Championship debut"; ST Online, Nov 11).

I congratulate her on her magnificent win. She has done Singapore proud.

I am glad that more women in Singapore are taking up MMA.

I am also glad to see more Singaporeans excelling in other sports - just look at our Olympic and Paralympic medallists - as well as the culinary arts, where Singapore's national culinary team recently won two gold awards at the Culinary Olympics in Germany ("Victorious Culinary Olympics team back"; Oct 29).

I look forward to reading about and watching more Singaporeans excelling not just in these fields, but many other fields as well.
