Include mental illness in study of bias at work

The plan to carry out a study on bias at work against those with disabilities is laudable ("Study on bias at work against those with disabilities"; Oct 31).

But will the study also include mental illness?

According to the Americans with Disabilities Act in the United States, mental impairment is a form of disability.

The symptoms from a mental illness can be just as debilitating as that of other disabilities.

This will provide a more holistic view of the discrimination faced by this group of people.
