There have been suggestions by many people for Singapore to host the Asian and Commonwealth Games.

But not many realise the amount of money needed.

For the just-concluded and successful SEA Games, $324.5 million was spent.

The money for the Asian or Commonwealth Games, which are bigger events, can be better spent on our athletes, who make sacrifices to try and win glory for Singapore.
