Guard against terror attacks

The bombing at Bangkok's Erawan Shrine is a stark reminder of the need for constant vigilance in an ever-changing world ("Bomb blast in Bangkok kills at least 16"; Aug 18).

Amid the atmosphere of religious worship, who would have predicted that minutes later, 20 people would die and even more would be injured?

We have to be on our guard, as an attack can be carried out at any place and at any time.
