Good work cleaning up after parade

I applaud the spectators of the National Day Parade for cleaning up after themselves ("Many partygoers took care not to leave trash behind: Volunteers"; yesterday).

There were more rubbish bins placed around the venue this year, making it easier for people to dispose of their litter.

I was proud to see people picking up litter, especially a group of mostly teenage volunteers who stayed back after the event to pick up any litter left behind.

The gracious attitudes and selfless efforts of such people in keeping our city clean and green are definitely admirable. I know this habit of cleaning up after ourselves will continue.
