Why complain about the bicycles from the bike-rental companies?
The issue is that designated bicycle-parking areas in many Housing Board estates are taken up by bicycles that have not been touched in ages.
They are there just taking up the bicycle-parking slots. Some of the bikes have flat tyres and missing parts, and are just an eyesore.
Perhaps it is time for town councils to find out who the owners are. These bicycles should be removed if no one claims them so that bicycles under the bike-rental scheme can be parked there (Bike-sharing firm ofo hitting the brakes on misuse; May 25).
This way, designated parking spots will serve the needs of actual bicycle users rather than non-users.
