Fibre broadband access: NetLink Trust replies

We understand that Mr Chai Koh Leong is in the process of renovating his new home and wishes to have his fibre cable concealed ("End monopoly on fibre-optic cabling works"; Dec 23, 2015).

We have provided guidelines for his contractor to prepare the concealed conduit, and will provide our assistance and carry out the necessary fibre installation work once the concealed conduit is complete.

A typical termination point repair or relocation takes approximately three to five business days from the date of request.

We assure home owners that their fibre experience is of utmost importance to us.

As the owner and operator of Singapore's fibre network, NetLink Trust is committed to providing open and equal fibre broadband access to all in Singapore.

We remain focused on improving our performance and delivering the capabilities of fibre network design, build and management on a neutral and fair basis.

NetLink Trust's business is regulated by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), and this includes pricing and operational matters.

We will continue to work with the IDA and our industry partners to meet the expectations of all our customers and stakeholders.
