DRONES CAN SAVE LIVES DURING FIRES

Advancing drone technology is a step in the right direction for Singapore.

A focus on firefighting using drones is especially relevant.

Imagine a scenario where some people are clinging precariously onto some ledges of buildings or trapped in a building, and even helicopters cannot draw near.

Unmanned drones could be used to pass ropes or breathing apparatus to people in high-rise buildings to help tide them over while firefighters make an effort to rescue them. It could be the difference between life and death.
