In view of the accident where two SMRT staff were fatally hit by an approaching train, a thorough investigation will have to be conducted to find out why safety protocols were not adhered to ("SMRT orders safety review after train runs into two"; yesterday).

There must be no hesitation in changing current standard operating procedure in order to boost safety for workers.

May this accident be the last one.
