Consider setting up arts university

I am very happy for Mr Charles Tee that his son graduated from the School of the Arts (Sota) and is now studying at a top theatre school in London (Arts school must continue to pursue artistic excellence; May 31).

Unfortunately, many students cannot afford the hefty school fees charged by overseas universities.

So, they are forced to pursue mainstream studies locally, which may not have been their original plan or ambition.

This is why the Government should consider setting up an arts university for students who wish to pursue further "artistic" education in Singapore after Sota.
