Caught in the social media cycle

There has been a marked increase in the amount of time our youth spend on social media.

Sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube are known as "headquarters" for these youngsters, and they tend to visit them before going to bed.

I, too, am part of this cycle. Once I am on these sites, it is difficult to pull away. Before I know it, hours have passed. I hope youngsters will not need their cellphones to malfunction before they get a good night's sleep.
